Governance
Our Governing Body shares a passion and ambition to provide all our pupils with a quality learning experience that supports them to believe and challenge themselves in order for them to flourish in all they do.
The Governing Body is a team of local people who bring their experience and expertise for the benefit of the young people in our school. Governors are volunteers and give their time to provide support and challenge for the schools. Challenge and support means asking the right questions, pushing for improvements, and setting aspirational targets and then supporting leaders to achieve them.
We are always keen to hear from anyone, whether it be with questions, feedback, concerns or if you are interested in becoming a governor. Please get in touch with our Chair, Steve who will be happy to help. He can be contacted via email on shone@brigstocklathams.co.uk.
Governing Bodies have three key functions:
-
Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos, and strategic direction.
-
Holding executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils, and the effective and efficient performance management of staff; and
-
Overseeing the financial performance of the organisation and making sure its money is well spent.
